Nor'easter Broadband:

2026 Hubbard Brook Retreat

May 27-30, 2026

The Nor'easter Broadband is organizing a three day retreat at the Pleasant View Farm, a facility of the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation, in Thornton, New Hampshire. We're returning to Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest for further understanding of the science around our Northern forest watershed. Learn about brown silk moths and their importance to migrating birds as well as how we, as citizen scientists, can help; see Raisa's animation on luna moths, possible night viewing of luna moths; stewardship project in the lab garden and other projects; shared meals, silent auction of cool stuff, exchange books as well as plenty of time to get to know each other and laugh.

Our regular retreats to this important research facilitiy helps keep the doors open for the important science they do there.
